I have two more pics to share. I came across this place on my post-retirement ride. Just out of the blue, I round this sweeping curve in the road and the rock has changed from a beige to a dark gray. And off to my left was this landscape feature that left me awe-struck. Have you ever had an ice-cream sundae where they put a thin cookie in the top? That's what this reminds me of. So look to the left of the road...

And on the right side of the road, the cliffs stand tall, erect and proud like sentinels.
Those are some great photos! While serving in the Air Force, we were in Germany from January 1976 to January 1979. We "drove" around Europe in a 1973 Plymouth Satellite Stationwagon. I would have much rather "ridden' those by motorcycle!
