I have a '12 and a spare set of wheels from an '07. Was going to swap out today and noticed the ABS rings are different. Will these work or do I need to swap the rings too?

Rings need to be swapped, I'm pretty sure the sensor pick up gap would be different is it doesn't touch.

Anything can be modified or fabricated, but it sounds like you were looking just for a drop in replacement.
I don’t think your gonna find that works well.

The 07 ring is now obsolete
The 07 ABS sensor (wire) is now obsolete
The 12 ring indicates it will only fit 08-17 model years
The 12 ABS sensor indicates it will only fit 08-17 model years
It would appear that the wires & the rings need to be switched, and I don't know if the switch connections are different.

As long as you use the right ring with your model year bike on the other rim, it MIGHT work.
You'll have to as those who've done it, as I don't mix and match stuff, so I can't tell you for sure that it would work or be safe.
Good luck though.

The front wheel, the pulser ring screw pattern, and the pulser ring screws are all the same. The front wheel pulser ring for 2007 and earlier model years is different from the pulser ring for 2008 and later model years. Either pulser ring can be mounted on any model year front wheel using the same screws. The pulser ring must be the correct one for the model year range listed above to accommodate the different sensor mounting positions of the two ranges.

You are always trying to give a simple, trustworthy answer, I really appreciate this attitude on the board
