Attaching seat ST1100 …

I'm in the middle of servicing and maintenance work on the ST1100. I've noticed that the seat is not attached properly, the front mount on the gas tank doesn't go into the hole in the seat. I've made several attempts to put the front mount in place but I can't get the middle hooks under the mount... I'll have to make a serious attempt when the bike is screwed back together. See picture.

Yep, you'll have to firmly press the front down before sliding the seat forward to engage the hooks into the cross-members...
So left palm on rider's seat, lift the rear end up (aprox 15°) with your right hand to aim the font part down, and lower it while sliding it forward...

BTW: check if all the rubber bongs are still present on the underside of the seat-pan (#11, #12. #14, #26):

Got it in place now All rubber bongs are underside of the seat-pan #11, #12, #14 but #26 I have to look for again… Where on the seat are the two marked #26…
