Best tires for ST1300 in 2022

You didn't mention the brand of tire, but if you are only getting 3k per tire you must be seriously smokin' em at the local dragstrip or you're running some sort of China tires. The worst tire I ever run in the worst conditions got 8.5k.

My 3k tires were T31GTs and the older BT23? I think? I got almost 4k out of the 23s but they wore funny and didn't perform nearly as well as the 31s.
I'm currently on Dunlop Road smart 3s and with 1500 miles on them, they still look great. I have also slowed down considerably in the last few years, and ride almost 100% twisty two lane roads. The RS3s do feel harder than the T31s though, those tires felt like supersport tires to me.

My NT700VA has over 3k miles on cheapy Malaysian Continentals and they still look great, I anticipate 8-10k miles. But that's a much lighter bike that has maybe 50hp.

YMMV. I admit I push pretty hard on twisty roads, or at least used to. I've really tried to slow down the last couple of years though.

Bridgestones aren't cheap for 5k of rubber. Cheap decent lasting tire, Shinko Verge or Raven
My new to me 07 (the IGOFAR) came with Shinko Verge's front and back. plenty of tread left, but I noticed today, after a very short ride to get the VIN verification done, that there were blisters in the center of the tread all over the front tire. After the tires cooled off (and they were barely warm to the touch) some of the blisters went away. Took a good close look at the back and it had some cupping starting to form. I definitely won't buy Shinkos to replace them. Pretty happy so far with the Dunlop 3's I put on the '03 project bike last summer.

I ended up getting about 5k miles on the Deauville out of the cheap Contis.

FWIW, I switched to Michelin Commander 3s on my HD touring bike, and Michelin Road 4s on my Deauville and my father's Versys 1000, and we have all been happy with them. No perceivable wear on the Harley, Deauville tracking for about 7k, Versys did 4k on the rear end will probably do 8 or 9 on the front. (He is a heavy throttler).

I have found the Michelin to be worth the money all things considered. They mount much easier than other brands too, if you do it yourself.
