Father's Day coffee

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee and cookies, Mac.

71/84, cloudy, with intermittent showers throughout the day, which is a repeat of yesterday. Today starts off with an early brunch at my daughter’s house. I think that feeding me is just a ruse to get me to their house. My son-in-law borrowed my trailer last week and knows that I’ll take my trailer home with me today, saving him the trip to bring it back.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start , Mac.

It's sunny and 55 in NH this morning, rising to 73, later.

Yesterday got off to a rainy start , and practice was very sparsely attended. No one wanted to potentially damage their bike on the wet track, especially since they'd be racing in dry conditions. The organizers anticipated the rain, and had qualifying on Friday.

We were watching over turn 1 again, and we had a few visitors during racing. The first came off at the end of the front straight at the start, and went into the air fence that's shown in yesterday's photo. two of them , actually, and destroyed the bike. He popped up , and walked off the track, when we had a gap. We had to muscle the bike into a safer spot, using the stub of a broken clutch lever, since both bars were torn off.

The other two were typical low-sides at the turn entry. One took back his bike and reenter, while the other stayed with us, until the race ended.

Today, we're back to club racing , so it should be a bit calmer.
Dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant, when we get home.

Enjoy your day ,
Steve

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Mac. 79F on the dog walk with some stars, no clouds and a bright moon to see and enjoy. the high today should reach 109F so not much will get done outside. enjoy the day and father's day if you are one.

Happy Father’s Day Men & Patty 2!

Thanks for the start Mac!
That MH will hit the spot!

We’re back at Allenville, NS, where they (my parents) tried to have me grow up!
It’s bittersweet spending time here!
My parents lie in a grave not far away. Our dear ole Mom used to say; “None of us get out of this world alive, and neither will I!”

55/71 F with a cool NE breeze.
Enjoy your family’s, remember, there is no guarantee!

G'Day...

19°/30°C today, glaring sun, not a cloud in sight...
Triple dose of Nespresso, home baked dark cornbread, soft boiled eggs... etc...

As yesterday we decided to execute a lazy day... in the shade, on the terrace, lounging in the comfy lawn-chairs, observing how nature awakens...
Like the teenage girl one house over screaming her head off hysterically... as she does pretty much every day... probably over one parent whispering "good morning honey"... bad move... (... I'd give her reason in form of a bucket with ice-water... but that's me...)
The three(!) Miniature Pinschers a couple of houses further, irking ecstatically at anything that's going over their heads... not very bright animals to begin with, they're irritated easily, by quite a lot...
Crows voicing their BAH! BAH! at the new day...
Sparrows and Tits chirping...
Swallows darting over our heads at 20.1mph/32.4kph (or 29.5fps/9mps), taking over from the night-shift, where Igor and his bat-comrades fluttered...
Dreadnought class carpenter bees roaring into action in the flower corner, drowning the buzz of hummingbird hawk-moths as well as pretty much all the other insects there...
Also some Sikorsky dragon-fly's are on patrol...
The sun starts baking down...

The peacefulness was abruptly interrupted by my GF's phone ringing... daughter #2 with grand-kid in final approach... uff...
GF prepared the inflatable pool and some other water-toys...
One hour later, with lots of screaming and shrieking the lawn had turned into something between a swamp and an Asian rice-plantage...
Once that damage was done, they took off again, spreading horror at someone else's place...

Anyhoo, enjoy the Sunday...

Happy Father’s Day Men & Patty 2!
Um...huh?? Lol!! Last time I checked, I wasn't anyone's father (and I'd no doubt be on Page 1 of the National Enquirer if I were), and my own is long gone, but OK.
Indeed, I do hope all the actual dads out there have a wonderful Father's Day.

After all the rain we had in May and the first half of June, we seem to be having a run of wonderful weather. It's another spectacular day here, with lots of sunshine and temps ranging from 16°C/61°F to 25°C/77°F and no humidity. Apparently, it's going to get hot and steamy again in the next couple of days, so we'll enjoy this while we can.

Today is a good day for kicking back, hanging out in the "near 'burbs" and avoiding the chaos in the City of Montreal. Today is the Canadian Grand Prix F1 race, so there are a bazillion people milling around and lots of street parties (ergo, lots of closed streets) happening. Just to make things more interesting, there's also a public transit strike in progress, so getting to the Gilles-Villeneuve race track (which is on one of the islands) will be interesting, to say the least. It all gets underway at 2 p.m., and I have to admit, I was glad to see George Russell of Mercedes steal the pole position away from Max Verstappen during the last lap of qualifying. Should be an interesting race.

I've been thinking of @Sheriff41 since all that rain and those terrible flash floods lead to fatalities in San Antonio. My heart goes out to everyone affected. We haven't seen you in quite a while, Chuck - hope all's well!

@ibike2havefun: I'm glad you and Mrs. Fun made it to Hawaii and are staying in a lovely place! Enjoy!

Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

No today!
Both management and employee groups have agreed to a complete and absolute truce and cessation in all hostilities and job actions towards each other for the duration of the F1 Grand Prix event. As a result public transit will be operating normally throughout the entirety of the race weekend with no disruptions.
Isn't it amazing what can be accomplished when the stakes are high enough and the participants are willing enough?

Morning Mac & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 82F, heading for 92F. Already a breeze, but later, the winds will be out of the SW @ 16 to 29MPH.

Yesterday consisted of more weeds getting wacked. And my knee swelling up more! :hurt1:

Today is Chris and my 51st Anniversary and also marks the 17th year of Chris's Mom passing. I tell Chris is was her Mom's way at getting back at me for taking her daughter away! :(

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) on the menu for later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good afternoon from Williston, ND… and thanks for the coffee Mac!

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers here! To all the mothers and others, thanks for being here as well… simple day scheduled in the friendly skies today if the weather holds :)
