Hi I want to replace the seals bushes and springs on my ST1300 2011. Can this be done without having to strip the side panels off and is there anything I need to be aware of.

No body work has to be removed.
Remove calipers, fender, cross over brake line mounts.
Remove 6 triple tree bolts, then forks slide out.
Check the article section on this forum.

I follow Larry's advice; my only addition is to crack loose the caps on the forks while they are still in the triple clamps. Because I have bar risers I have to drop the forks down in the triples first about 10cm then reach down to the cap with an extension bar on my ratchet. I also break loose the damper rod bolts in the fork bottoms before I disassemble the fork, and make sure these unscrew easily/fully, then finger tighten them to keep the oil inside; while the fork is assembled/under compression, the inner fork parts are less likely to spin when you do this. Clean these threads to remove any old threadlock ( I use a tap and die) before reassembly (and thank me later). I suggest you buy new copper washers for these bolts as you can otherwise end up with a weep if you reuse the old washers.
