Handlebar end weights

'04 ST1300,
I'm going to be switching grips to heated grips from the Kuryakn grips. But that means I'll be able to reinstall the end weights. The problem is, I don't have the originals.

Can someone tell me how long and what diameter the OEM bar weights are? I'll just machine up a couple of new ones from stainless.
 
Hi - Here is what I came up with -
These are tapered and not straight taper but arched - see Photos
Length outside grip - 2 1/8”
Major diameter. - 1.473”
Minor diameter . - 1.240”
Counterbore .557” x .660” deep
Be aware that the internal part inside the bar may be anything- likely a “D” boss
I will include photo of one I made for my GB 500 to illustrate.
I believe these are still available from Honda - also, there may be a separate internal weight that it mates to - see parts diagram on parts dealer sites.
Lastly search threads on ST Owners site for bar end weights - there seems to be some pinning involved .
A complex machining job if you want to truly replicate the originals - far easier to buy replacements if available.

I have a set of like-new oem weights, yours for shipping+ small handling fee (have to find them!) pm if interested.
 
Thanks for all the replies but Rdts' is the answer I was looking for. I still have the internal weights and all winter to play with. Machining up a couple of stainless end weights with a stepped boss is not a big deal. I might need to extend the boss a bit to accommodate longer heated grips depending which ones I can get on Kijiji. The Touring ones seem to be the shortest but also the scarcest. Sports are a little longer but more available.
