Hey fellow riders!

I'll be taking my 1993 ST1100 for a spin through Kettle Moraine tomorrow. It's a bit of a last-minute plan, but I'm looking for some good lunch spots around the north end of the trail. I'm aware of the weather forecast and have my gear ready. This will be my first long ride on this bike, heading out from Chicago for a full-day adventure. Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Never been up that way but there are probably others on here that have been in the area and if so more than willing to provide helpful advise. I hope you have a great ride and will report back in the "Where did you ride today" thread.

FYI, there is no sign at the southern end, or at least I haven't found one in both of my attempts to find it.

I rode this 6 or 7 years ago. Came across from Ludington on the Badger ferry. As I recall it's a beautiful ride with lots of rolling wooded areas. Be alert for our 4 legged enemy that likes to run across the road without warning. I had a more detailed map from the state tourist agency. They had It broken into a north and south half. Take your time and enjoy the ride!
 
should of gone to LOCSTOC and rode the driftless area with some of the best roads around. Then there is MINSTOC coming up and WISTOC.

I managed to do 3/4 of the route, had to cut short due to heavy rain, got soaked before I managed to put rain gear on. It was a great ride. Took a video and will post as soon as I'm done editing.

LOL. Same thing happened to us. It had been hot and humid and had just been a quick sprinkle twice but the third time it just kept falling. By then it didn't make any sense to go full rain gear. My jacket has a membrane so upper half stayed dry. My brand new never washed jeans did not. When we got to our motel and were changing out of our damp clothes my buddy burst out laughing. My legs (and underware) looked like something out of a Skirts movie! And my hands were black from my gloves. Good grief!

LOL. Yeah, I remember getting soaked to the bone once, that I actually got sick for few days. Luckily, I didn't this time.
