Laser Detector

Easily. I have the 8500 mounted behind the screen and its saved me (from laser) on several occasions. The best save was when a policeman lasered me leaving a stop light; he hit me coming off the line and I had the wherewithall to cool my jets, never breaking the posted 45mph.

Thanks for all the reports, now got to figure out how to power it and the gps and the tranceiver...

Guys, bear in mind one important fact: With lasers being so tightly focused, it's important to have your laser detector where the LEOs will be AIMING. From the front, they are trained to target the reflective surfaces of your headlights. From the rear, it's your license plate.

Laser jammers that have detectors that can be placed on the bike separately from the head unit are the best.

Good thing on Escort radar detectors (I own Max) with live connection, you get heads up warning before you even within a range of any radars. It's a network system and works really good.
