Main Beam Light Staying On

Hi everyone, My Main Beam Warning Light stays on after engine start along with one Headlight.

The Headlight Dip switch is rendered inoperative.

After a few miles everything returns to normal.

Worried for my MOT,

Any help where to look would be greatly appreciated.

I've pulled all the relays and fuses and all the contacts were good

I'm afraid I have more questions than answers. You call it a Dip Switch - is this the headlight flashing switch that activates high beams? It is deactivated? How, by wiring around it or disconnecting a wire to the switch? If it regularly returns to 'normal' then this is not an intermittent problem.

Yes headlight high/ low/passing switch does nothing until the main beam light goes out . Which should be straight away but isn’t

I had a similar problem, which was caused by a bad ground connection at the right side bulb. Check those connectors and wiring carefully.

Also, the giant 20+ common ground connector at the front of the bike is susceptible to corrosion and aging, and is often involved in electrical problems.
