Mirror housing fitment question

You can easily slip a wrench on the nuts to hold them while to replace them.

I stuck a magnetic Screwdriver in and thru the nut to hold it in place. worked great.

They are easily replaced without removing anything other than the mirror cover. They are screwed on from the outside.

No different than any other nut and bolt set-up in that a person needs to hold on to both ends of the fastener but it is worth mentioning this for those who may not know that the nut is not a captured nut, so hold on to it.

This. I didn't know that there was a nut on the other side. I thought the screw was threaded into the frame. Oops.
