Oil leak- help to find cause please!

Afternoon all,

I've an oil leak. I'm not sure of source and have taken a couple of videos.

Could anyone offer me some advice on common sources and solutions?

Hard to spot the source in all that seepage...

I'd suspect two areas:
- alternator base O-ring
- gear selector shaft seal

I'd clean the whole case thoroughly to see from where it actually origins...

Also start looking high and work down.

Clean it all off and dust it with talcum powder. That will show the oil clearly as it leaks out.

In the past we have had reported sight glass leaks, but I think the most common has been valve cover - either an old gasket or a trapped rubber blanket on the inside edge of the cover. Since your vids show the bottom of the engine, it is a guessing game until you clean it off and can localize the source.
