Hello, fellow ST owners!

I have posted on here a few times about the Ready 2 Ride course hosted by Oklahoma State University, which I have attended twice to keep my skills sharp.

I have invited another forum member to attend this year with me, on May 17th.

I think it would be really great to have a collection of ST riders out there, refreshing their skills as well, and maybe introducing themselves to a side of their ST that they have never met (mine looooves to pull up off of their hairpin turn to about 6K on the tach).

I have contacted their registrar for this year's signup forms, so if any fellow Oklahoma ST riders want to come along, let me know and I'll get the forms to you.

They do break for lunch, so we could even call it an extended RTE :)

Never a mistake to improve your riding skills with an approved course. What you learn might save your life someday.

That's kind of how I look at it. Build up that muscle memory through regular practice, so your movements are instinctive and much faster.

And their two lane range perimeter road is great fun!

Hey, that looks pretty interesting, thanks for posting. I put it on my calendar, TBD if I can make it happen. If so, I'll probably come up the night before, since it starts at 8am and I'm about 3 hours south of there. What do we need to do to sign up, and by when?

Paulcb, I requested the signup forms from the school today, I hope to get them via email very soon.

Typically, they need a photocopy of your license with endorsement, and proof of insurance on the day of the class.

When I speak to their registrar, I will link the forms here for all.

Sounds good, looking forward to it. Looks like my brother and I are planning to attend... I'll be on my ST1100, he rides an ST1300.

This is great! I have attached the registration form, what to wear guidance, and the address of the course. I usually send everything by e-mail to Charity Kitchens, kitchec@osuokc.edu

I look forward to meeting everyone.

I wish I could join you guys. I will be working nights that day. I have taken several Driving courses there for my job. They do a really good job.
I need to check and see when the Highway Patrol will be doing there class. It is free. They do a really good job also.

You'll be missed, okckeith! Yes, I have also been to the OHP Saferiders course, and it is a great one.

The Edmond PD is also said to be outstanding...I am saving that one for next year :)

I received an email from the course inSTructor yeSTerday, he recommended that folks get signed up quick, as this class will fill up rapidly!

He also asked me to requeST that you send a photo or scan of your insurance coverage in with your regiSTration forms...saves time on the day of class.

Looking forward to meeting some new forum members!

I need to find one of these in the NoVA area...been awhile since I attended a class and couldn't hurt to get a refresher!

I just sent in all my registration info... registration form, insurance and drivers license.

Well, it's official. This training class has been portponed until further notice by the school.

I figured this would happen, but still kind of a bummer.

Stay safe everyone, and remember that you can practice motorcycle skills AND practice social distancing in a safe empty parking lot :)

Still no updates from OSU-OKC...when I hear someting, I will let everyone in the post know! Ride safe, y'all.
