G'Day...

fill up with your favorite blood-thinning beverage... :coffee:

11°/16°C, mainly cloudy, moderate winds...
the predicted rain did not happen last night, it also should get 18°C today, but now thunderstorm warnings are out and temperature drops announced...

Office, not massively busy...
Today more some forensics, like dealing with errors in projects from 2023, by someone else, long before I was even here...
And clients will use any excuse to withheld payments and/or claim reductions/rebates... pfffff...

News-feed is milking topics like how food consumption is impacting the weather...
Right... some young bohémien, who's birth-year starts with a 2, claims that my bio fed, locally farmed Schnitzel is bad for the environment...
whilst slurping his Avocado/Curuba/Mango/Pitahaya/Maracuja smoothie... of course... pfffff...

Don't let them spoil your appetite!

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Martin. 60F on the dog walk with a few clouds off to the west and a bunch of stars to enjoy.
got the sparkplugs and wires changed on the Subaru yesterday so now I'm ready to take it and have it tested so I can renew my tags for 2 more years.
got a doctors appointment this morning and some garage cleaning to do. funny how a small job seems to use every tool you own. it should be nice to work outside as the high should be 88F. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's sunny and 43 in MA this morning, rising to 74 with continued sun.

Yesterday's dentist visit went well, and the VFR ride to and from was pleasant.

Today, I'll head over to the track in Thompson, CT for some car club work.
I've also got to pack for the weekend motorcycle events, starting tomorrow.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 50°F and sunny in Lansdale as I get packed up and ready to travel home. The weather at home is about the same, expecting 81 for a high this afternoon.

Since I'll be towing a trailer full of stuff, I'll avoid the toll roads (my toll transponder isn't coded for trailering and I've gotten no reply from the toll authority about what happens in that case) and take secondary roads, adding about an hour to the travel time usually required. I won't really mind, though, as the only virtue I95 has is that it's sometimes quicker. It's never more scenic or pleasant or relaxing.

Once home I'll unload all the junk stuff treasures then return the trailer to the rental company before dropping off a bicycle for donation.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning all!
Thanks for the start Martin!

It is slowly getting warmer here in the bay.
I’ve been putting off projects until I can comfortably work on them outside.
52/59 F with a WSW blow cooling things off.

I’ll cut two of our Cedars that had the tops destroyed in the recent ice storm.
Our neighbour has requested the body wood, so I’ll cut & deliver that, then clean up the mess and get rid of the branches.
Enjoy your day!

G'morning, all, and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

The morning started off dark (duh...ya think?), then brightened to mainly sunny, but the clouds quickly started to encroach. We still have a mix of sun and clouds, but that will change to mainly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers this afternoon. Temps are nice, though: 8°C/46°F right now, but a lovely 17°C/63°F later. Wish I could get out for a walk by the creek in our little woods, but alas, it will be a long time yet before I can do that. Progress is being made, though, the wound is healing, but veeeery slowly.

@Nashcat: My sister and brother-in-law had an English Springer Spaniel with similar issues; his allergies caused skin issues that made him miserable, poor pup. Among other treatments, the vet had them dose him with Benadryl, which seemed to help.

Right, gotta get to it. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely. Have a good trip home, Keith.

@ibike2havefun
Keith, if you have EZ-Pass there is some fine print (it was the last time I looked) that says "occasional" trailer use is allowed without coding your transponder. The coding is required for the contractor that runs a trailer daily. The average user like myself that runs a trailer 2-3 times a year is ignored.

Oh yeah, @ST1100Y ... Martin - thanks for the coffee!!
Weather here is 51F under sunny skies and supposedly hitting 72F with clouds coming in this afternoon and a few sprinkles around dinnertime.
Hint - don't wear a t-shirt and use a chainsaw on a downed tree in the middle of a patch of blackberries! Your arms may come out of it looking like you tried to snuggle an angry cat on speed!

Be safe, be careful and may that dark spot on the road ahead be a shadow and not a pothole!

Thx Martin!

Mrs Stu got an all ok from the skin doctor today.
Happy for that.
My turn next Wednesday.

Boatwork today.

10˚c/50f, sunny, 35mph annoying wind, a solid six on the Wooleric pffffffft scale.

Have a good one!
Stu

Good Morning,
Thanks Martin for coffee, hopefully will get rid of stupid head ache soon. Weather will be the same as Weiselinsuit's. Some day I will figure out how many air miles between our houses. Probably around 20 miles, across the Georgia strait. Anyway, yesterday got the back of the Dodge Van cleaned up and neatly loaded with stuff for Recreation trailer at Birch Bay. Today's agenda see oncologist, see if still on anticancer meds
hopefully not. Afternoon may Pressure wash the Van was planning to do that yesterday but inside cleaning took all day. Okay Y'all have a good day G

Paddy, I’m giving him Benadryl so the two of us can get some sleep. When the allergies act up, he’s constantly shaking his head, because his ears are bothering him. Sunday night, well early Monday morning, I had to get up and give him an oatmeal/baking soda bath to soothe his skin. The bath is no problem in the walk-in shower, but the 1 hour of blow dryer wears us both out. His meds are formulated for his allergies, just like us hoomans, only instead of shots, he gets sublingual drops twice a day. Several months before improvements will be seen. Pffftt.

How’s the foot? Better, I hope.

About 60 km, we're just south of YYJ

Morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 63F, up from 44F, and heading for 69F! We already have the wind blowing, from the SSW @ 10 to 14mph. And later it will be from the SSW@ 17 to 29mph. I'm not seeing any temps below freezing, within the next couple of weeks, so we just might be in full Spring now! :hat3:

I got out and trimmed and mowed the lawns, then threw some Weed & Feed down, trying to get rid off those pesky weeds! And then I dug up most of the other weeds, not around the lawn. That was enough to do me in for the day!

As for today, I'm fighting with myself to do more work out front, or work on the bike. We'll see which winds by the end of the day.

Chris made us a German Pancake for breakfast. Also had some sausage and OJ. Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

There is progress, but it's so slow that it doesn't feel like it, sometimes. It's healing (scabbing over and generating new skin around the edges - sorry if that grosses anybody out), but it's still very much an open wound. The clinic nurses that do the bandages have now put me on a schedule of having the dressing changed every 3 days instead of 2, so I guess that's positive. They've been applying a special dressing commonly used for burns, called UrgoTul Ag. It has silver in it, which helps accelerate healing and prevent infection. I'm grateful that this is all they have to do, since it was touch-and-go for a while as to whether I would have to have skin grafts or not. I'm still in constant, chronic pain, and that's the most exhausting part, almost 2 months in. The heavy duty pain meds have helped, but I've had to stop taking them for a while because they were making me sick (they wreak havoc on your gut). The fact that the worst part of the burn is where the top of my foot meets my shin (i.e., right where you flex your foot) complicates matters, since the more the foot gets bent, the more the wound gets irritated. At this point, it's a matter of time and patience. It will heal. I am SO looking forward to the day when it doesn't hurt anymore, the big bandages are gone and I can walk without whimpering (even with a cane) again. Sigh. They say that these things are sent to test us. If that's true, whoever's sending them has one helluva sadistic streak in them.

As for Teddy, please give him some gentle but heartfelt scritches from me and tell him he's a good boy. I hope the treatments work so that you can BOTH get some relief.

Patty
