G'Day...

10°/21°C, mostly sunny, haze (news say its Canadian smoke...), strong winds predicted for afternoon/evening...
GF chose her mesh summer gear/2 piece suit... methinks that was a bit optimistic though... ;)

Traffic has smoothed out, less volume, no close calls this morning...
Not so yesterday afternoon though... while filtering by a queue (dotted line) an oncoming VW Touareg pretended the attempt to steer into me...
SUV drivers... having to "compensate" weak egos/whatever... SOP, always having an eye on them... :cautious:

Office, kinda dull, inet still sketchy but seems to improve... (like the firewall is still busy updating its rules and DNS library...)

Trying to research on those spring dampers in the ST1100 camshafts... nothing to find online...
Seems I'll have to take a set apart to investigate possible repairs...
I know that "weekend racers" (VFR etc...) remove those springs for a little more power and quicker revving...

have a good one!

Good morning and thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 56 and sunny in MA this morning, rising to 80 in NH, where we'll be today.

The car is all packed, and we'll be on the way, as soon as Brenda finishes getting ready.

Today and tomorrow are road race school days.

Enjoy your day,
Steve

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Martin. 75F on the dog walk with a bright full moon to light the way as we walked around the neighborhood. again the moon's brightness washed the stars away in a clear sky. I could just make out a few here and there to see.
have gym this morning then a stop at Sam's Club for a few things on the list and somethings not on the list. I'm sure I'll find something I can't live without.
101F for the high so I hope to be out of the city and back home by 1330 or 1400. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning all!
Thanks for the start Martin.

We had a wet drive for most of yesterday, no issues, just wet!

We were surprised to find our “go to” hotel was closed! I’ll look later to see what happened!

We are an easy drive from my old home. Where I was supposed to grow up!
:rolleyes-2x:
56/73F here in Edmundston, it’s showing that my drive should be a lot drier!

Enjoy your humpday!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin.

It's 64°F and getting sunny in Rockville, and the feels like of 65 tells me the humidity is not absurdly high. Sunny skies and a high around 85 are expected.

We're pretty well set for blastoff later this morning, heading to LAV for three days and then on to Hawai'i for two weeks. I'll be late checking in here as a result of being six time zones farther west than usual, of course. The stopover in LAV is for three reasons:

  1. When you fly Southwest Airlines to Kailua-Kona, you connect in Vegas.
  2. A stayover will help ease the effect of jet lag when we arrive in HI.
  3. My first college roommate and his wife live there, now. We haven't seen them in about 30 years and I'm eager to change that.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, all, and thanks for the coffee Martin.

Alas, yes, it is indeed Canadian wildfire smoke that has wafted its way to Europe. It's a sunny day here, but the sun will only shine through yet another thick layer of haze. Not too hot today: 16°C/61°F to 25°C/77°F with a feels-like of 29°C/84°F.

@ibike2havefun: Safe travels and have a wonderful trip, you two. Check in when you can.

Everybody have a good one, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

And mixing with Sahara dust...

Late check-in... G'mornin' y'all! It was a pleasant 63F/17C when I ambled downstairs. My coffee pot had but one cup left, so thanks for the reserve tank of java, Martin!

I was in the office and ready to get started when coworker informed me that we could WFH the rest of the week due to the upcoming toy parade. So I packed my stuff and came right back home!

One small good thing abt going in was while I was walking in, I decided to pick up some more trash since I hadn't in a few weeks. Bag #26 was collected, and I found a $5 bill! So, I cleaned up the surrounding area AND got some lunch money!

As for the rest of today, work then prob mower work and mow my own lawn as it's supposed to get hotter tomorrow and Friday. I am rehearsal free until Saturday... Oh joy! Oh what shall I do?!?

Welp, gotta get back to it, so take care y'all!

Morning all! It's a hazy day with some sun and high cirrus cloud. It's currently 14C with a predicted high of 22C.

Had an interesting exit from the highway yesterday. Turn off on the on ramp and focused on the vehicles in front of me when suddenly there's a little old lady in her Prius right beside me. It's a single lane ma'am, you don't belong here. I blipped the throttle and got ahead of her but it was interesting times for a few seconds. I expect she was in the far left lane, realized her exit was about to go by and she hauled h-e-double toothpicks across to get to the exit ramp. Good lesson to keep an eye behind me while exiting even if I need to focus on what's ahead. No animals were hurt during this event, though one might have experienced a moment of panic.....

I tried replacing the lock on my Givi topbox last night but couldn't get the clip that holds the cylinder in place while keeping a tiny ball bearing in its place. I finally decided that I should give it a rest for the night and try again when my blood pressure had settled. I may end up just taking it to a locksmith and get them to do it as I don't have the temperment for fiddly bits. And yes, I feel shame....

Keith, have a great trip, bring back pics!

Hope everyone has a great day and has a ball, it has a bearing on your mental health!

Morning Martin & All from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 82F, heading for 88F with winds! The winds are from the S @ 9to 15mph, and expect them to get up to 33mph later. Yesterday we had a thunderstorm roll by and left us with .11 inches of the wetstuff! And that was within 15 minutes!

Martin, your pictures remind me of Los Angeles, back in the early 70's! :redface-2x:

Also, yesterday, Chris and I made it to Costco for our monthly run. We came out $600 lighter in the wallet, of course! After Costco, we went to Red Lobster to celebrate or up coming 51st Anniversary on Sunday. We figured we were in town and forget about this weekend at any restaurant! :cautious:

We also got a letter from the IRS, informing us that we owe more taxes! My Tax guy warned me when you are on Medicare, you can't have an HSA! Of course, when I opened that account several years ago, nothing was mentioned about that!

Today will be a fun filled day of pulling weeds! Or just hitting them with a hoe! :spank1:

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ for the morning start. Pepsi(s) on the lunch menu!

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

I should have checked to make sure it sent!!

We have arrived at our destination in Nova Scotia. Tomorrow, we will head to the Cabot Trail, as Miss Judy hasn’t seen it yet.

I certainly miss Cabot trail maple cream liqueur and Steinhart maple vodka. Enjoy!
