Article [13] ST1300 - Rear Seat Removal

could anyone post me a picture of the rear seat removed and the front seat in place. I wish to see what the rear area of the front seat looks like. I wont get into why at this visit. thanks

SO what is stopping the front seat lifting up at the rear, is it the rear seat coming over that bar?
Only friction. See the steps at the left end of the white plastic? Each step has a pair of slots underneath that fit over a pair of small prongs on the top edge of the black bar that the white plastic is sitting on.

If someone "cheats" and sets the front mount of the front seat higher than the matching back step, it takes more effort to push the seat forward to force the back on a lower step, and to pull it back off.

Just pull the back edge of the seat upward and you'll become an instant expert.

The front of the back seat has two bosses that protrude forward through the 2 black wire hoops that are part of the rear frame, this keeps the front of the back seat from pulling up. The back seat also has a center tounge that sticks into the bracket on the back of the front seat. So the front of the back seat holds down the back of the front seat and the front of the front seat is captured by the front seat adjuster. I hope that all makes sense and answers your question.

Excellent yes thanks. I'm not aware of the prong thing on back seat you mention so I'll be having a good look at it all next time I'm at my workshop, maybe today/tomorrow or weekend. I've been asking because something on mine has been messed about with and is not quite standard I think. So appreciate all of assistance from each good looking chap on here ( which I'm sure they must be lol)
