I'm digging on it too. But the engine heat is reminds me of the ST. (Which I could negate on the ST).

Very interesting thread with some good replacements for the ST1300 but also for the ST1100. I don't agree with all the options but I have a taste for large touring bikes, the alternative could be a more upright bike with good luggage solution in the adventure segment.

Since I don't buy new motorcycles, my ST13 was actually a replacement for my 92 BMW K100RS. The K100 was a good bike, but a granny in a Buick parked on top of it, and that led to me acquiring a 2003 ST in a trade. I put a bunch of miles on the K100, but the ST already feels like an old friend...
