I think these days the USA's immigration policy is rather unpredictable, and what's written in policy manuals and in laws passed by Congress may not be the final word anymore.

Due to this uncertainty hanging in the air,
I can understand foreigners-- even white Europeans--wanting to stay away at this time.

We enjoyed meeting Kinga in Big Bend in 2023. We were able to put her up for the night on a very cold day.

I'm not subscribed to either, but YT is popping up their vids from time to time, and I think that she's no worse than Itchy something, or maybe even better. She's being more of herself in my view, (and without the fake laughs).
Yet she's much less popular for some reason
 
I like watching these guys.
Emily is so sweet and just being herself, and Sean is too. Down to earth, interesting conversations and great filming.

I agree, I just started following them. It is interesting to watch a couple and their different viewpoints and emotions.
 
Published in English in the USA on June 3rd. I had pre-ordered it so it turned up in my Kindle account on my iPad. Read it all in two days.

It essentially covers season 1 when Noraly started her Itchy Boots YouTube channel and rode from India down to Malaysia, and then from Oman across to Iran, through the 'stans and back to Europe. If you have watched all the videos of this season much is familiar in the book. What it adds are much more of her personal thoughts, joys, sadness and fears. It digs lightly into a failed relationship that gave impetus to her adventures and some other stories that help fill out Noraly's character.

It touches briefly on the awful mysogony and hate that follows her. It is probably what she fears more than the "dangerous and scary" places people criticize her for visiting.

A central theme reinforced in the book is how kind and helpful people all over the world are in real life. The less those people have, the more they want to give.

The book is already a New York Times best seller.

Too bad she's isn't that open in her clips. It would take her videos on a different level.

She probably got hurt too hard emotionally by a guy, to say that men are trouble (in one of her videos).
I think the subsequent book is following.

Anyway, thanks for posting it. Now I don't need to buy the book, lol.

Received my hard copy on the 3rd. Read it over 3 days. As a long time fan and admirer (since the first year, have seen every one of her vlogs/videos, and every other one with her in it, interviews, etc.) I found it delightful. Fleshed out her character and personality. Highly recommended, even for a casual observer.

Not really the venue for that dialog. Probably many would accuse her of wearing her heart on her sleeve and faking emotions all to manipulate of the viewers for clicks and write it off as marketing technique. Even without reading her book I'm sure she gets enough baseless grief without inviting more.

Noraly was interviewed a couple of years ago on another podcast, maybe Revzilla's "Highside / Lowside" with Zach and Spurg? I listen to several moto-podcasts, all the time, and I'm always looking for other good ones.

She was also interviewed a long time back on a low tech interview where she had to pass the mic (some of you must remember when they were called "mikes") back and forth between her and the host. Still a fun listen.

:rofl1: I clicked on the video without reading your comment. For an instant — I thought "Wow she really speaks Dutch well." Oh... Right. Then it was "she does a great job with English". I did turn on the CC.

So this was episode 1. I hope there'll be more.
