G'Day...

12°/20°C, gray overcast, significant chances of rain in ze afternoon/evening/night...

GF is weathering it out on her NT, whilst I took ze trusty Toyota, not because I'm weary about riding in a drizzle, the ST is actually fun doing such,
but them cagers are already inattentive enough on dry roads, top that with precipitation and impaired vision to see things getting hairy fast...
Especially as its a bank holiday tomorrow, so with everyone leaving to wherever, afternoon traffic will be horrific... :cautious:

office, already done with the first workloads... we'll see what else comes in during the day...
craving another... :coffee: :unsure:

You are sooooooooo right. So, thanks for getting things organized and started today, Martin.

It's 54°F and raining steadily in Rockville. It's the sort of rain that farmers need and love: slow, steady, and soaking. It began yesterday evening and will likely continue all the way through 2000 hours or so this evening. We'll get to only about 60 degrees today so that, coupled with the wet, sure makes me glad I'm in a permanent, climate-controlled structure and not camped out somewhere a tent- this would be miserable camping weather.

I hated riding in the rain, partly for that very reason: motorists (cagers) don't expect to see a bike in general, and particularly so in foul weather. Coupled with increased stopping distance and lower traction levels, not to mention physical discomfort, nothing about riding in the rain appeals to me.

There's nothing on today's agenda, which feels like just the perfect thing to plan and do.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

66/78 and still another day of scattered showers. Pffftt. I can’t get a break from all this rain.

I suppose I could do some pressure washing and also give the dog a bath, since I always get wet doing both.

45F here this morning with a few clouds and lots of sun. It is supposed to hit at least 79F before full cloud cover appears .... with rain then forecast on and off for the next 3 days.

Most of the soreness from my Sunday debacle has dissipated so that is good. Short version, I was prepping my backyard for a Memorial Day cookout and had a little issue with a step ladder. My feet, butt, back and head landed in that order ... and didn't hurt the paving blocks at all! The cut on my head is itching like crazy so it is healing.

Today will be a repeat of yesterday, spending most of the day with the crew putting the final touches on the shooting shed at my local range.

Be safe, be careful and remember, we don't bounce like we used to!

It's 59 and sunny, becoming cloudy and rising to 74, later. Rain will begin, tonight.

I never made it to the gym, yesterday, so I'll try to remedy that, today.
I did get out with the neighbor's dog for a little over 5 miles, though. And once Brenda left for bowling, I jumped on the Wing for a ride. I adjusted my friend's lights, like he asked, before dinner at the restaurant.

Today will be a gym kind of day, and I don't know what comes next.

@Nashcat, I remember the fun of bathing my pal Hoover!
He was the absolute best canine friend a man could ask for, except for the fact, a bath wasn’t on his list of fun to do things!

Our day turned out well yesterday, we found all the things we needed, and a few additional items, of course!
61/68 F sunny, but that ole east breeze is dragging in moisture later on.

Terrible, just terrible today. 55F/12.5C and as rainy as can be. No way I was riding in this as already mentioned it isn't worth the discomfort and unsafety of sitting in a 5-mile backup (yes I watched my odo creep up).

So thank you, Martin, for keeping me sanely caffeinated. Nothing exciting to report or be hopeful for, just work and rehearsals. Did get an offer to buy the ol' Aircap mower, so that'll free up some space. And once I finish the Toro that can go too, needs a new head gasket...which of course only comes in a kit...which I had already bought once...ended up doing the ring job which ruined it when I removed the head again. Ugh...

Morning all! Another gorgeous sunny blue sky day. Can't even see one cloud anywhere. Currently 14C with a predicted high of 22C.

My new rear tire for the ST arrived yesterday. I have to decide whether to pull the back wheel off myself and take it to the tire guy to swap out or wait for my usual mechanic to have a spot open up and take it to him to do the whole thing. I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy; I once was told to replace the tranny (not the right word for the part but I can't recall the correct one and tranny conveys the meaning) in a triplex mower when I worked at a golf course one summer. I managed to get it in and work but was later told it was backwards and you had to put it in rear drive to go forwards. You can see the reasons for my trepidation.....

Whatever way I choose to go, I have to do it quickly because I haven't been off the bike this long for quite some time and the withdrawal is far worse than when I quit smoking....holy crap....26 years ago....god I'm old...

Hope everyone has a great day and no one gives you the gears....at least not to install!
