Four corners of Canada

That's a nice setup, it looks like you have spent some time thinking of it.
Would you mind posting a short list of things you went through to prepare the trip?

@kiltman you doing alright out there?
Doing reasonably well. Although I am experiencing a nasty oil leak. It appears that the countershaft oil seal has decided to no longer do what it was designed to do. On the plus side my chain has an automatic oiler.
We are currently in Regina, as there are only two places in Canada that have the seal, one being Regina, the other Sudbury.
We are facing road closures due to wildfires. The AlCan is closed in both directions at Fort Nelson to Toad Lake, we are monitoring it closely. Thursday we will need to decide if we need to take hwy 37 from Jasper to Watson lake. It’s an 8 hour extension to deal with. We will need to ride multiple 800plus kms per day to be able to stay on schedule for being in Tuktoyaktuk for the solstice.
On Sunday we only road a few hours. Rain combined with 6°C temperatures and strong winds made for a tough day so we decided to do a short day and check for parts for the VStrom at a dealer in Thunder Bay.
Monday we were behind by 5 hours, we made that up with a marathon ride of close to 1000kms from Thunder Bay Ontario to Souris Manitoba. We left the Bay at 11:00 am and arrived at 11:30 Pm with a time change.
Once the bike is repaired we hope to ride without worries.
