Getting Up on Center Stand ??

It's a personal preference thing most of the time. Personally, I only throw it up on the centerstand for maintenance or to check the oil level, which I don't do often cause it never seems to change. But I know some who use the centerstand nearly every time they park somewhere. Some like to use it when they gas up so they can get that extra few ounces of gas in the tank.

Thanks.

Here is a dumb question from someone new to centerstands:

When do you put the bike on the centerstand? I understand using it when servicing the rear tire, checking oil, and storing the bike. When else is it used?

thanks!

Great thread guys & gals... I knew I must have been doing something wrong... I'm 6' 3" 320lbs & couldn't get my 11 up on the CS without rolling the rear tire up on a 2x4. In fact, I wrenched my back trying a couple of times. Wrong technique... DOH After reading this thread, I just went outside, and she just jumped right up on the CS like she wanted to be there. I've had this bad girl for almost 2 years now, & this is only the 3rd time she's been on the CS by me, and this was by far the easiest. Wish I had found this thread a long time ago. She wouldn't have fallen over when the rear tire went flat at work on a windy day. Thanks for all the Great info!!
