I have never had my engine apart. Just routine maintenance. I should have more miles on it but have ridden an 07 FJR I got this winter 10,000 miles so far this year. I have still put more miles on the ST1100 this year though!

I'm sure Honda would love to hear about this. They might give you an award or feature you in their magazine... or maybe give you a free bike
I think the free bike would happen if he hit 1,000,000 miles. I recall Honda doing that for a car owner once.
Why? you did them, you should be proud of them.
To paraphrase the head honcho here: you're only competing with yourself so you might as well enjoy it!

As an update to this Alex apparently has 389K on his ST1100. And oh yeah STony G has 350 K on his ST 1300!!

My 2000 only has 7800 miles...Gotta a lot of riding to do to catch up to Alex.
That bike should be confiscated and given to someone who wants to ride it like it is intended to be ridden!

Well 200K on a 6 year old the wing and still trying to get the Cruise to work on this one...

Well, I bought my first new 1997 one in 1997 (it's got 150,000+), my second new 2002 one in 2003 (it just turned over 100,000), and my third used one (1997) in 2008 and I've put 60,000+ on it. I've got about 15,000 on ST1300s and 1,500 on a VFR1200. All three ST1100s have been to 49 states with a picture of the bike at the state line sign. A lot smiles in them miles!
