Good morning friends and neighbours!
Coffee from Brazil today, it makes your chair rock!

Been on a all-work-no-play road trip to Oslo for a week, to remodel my sons bathroom.
It’s challenging to do all this work while keeping the bathroom fully operational all the time.
Almost done now, just some trimmings.

I’m totally beat, so today is nothing.

10˚c/50f, showers, a breeze from southwest, thats in @Upt' North s’ direction. Wonder how he’s doing…?

G'Day...

11°/19°C, windy, mix of clouds, chances for rain... no warnings though...

Took the trusty Toyota to commute, not because of the weather, but to fill it up...
They'd passed a law by which gas stations are only allowed to increase the prices once a day, at 1200hrs...
This of course now results in significant higher prices right before the weekends, especially ones with a bank-holiday...
OTOH in lowest prices on Sunday afternoons and Monday mornings...
So you've to gamble when to fill up... :cautious:

Office, dull, will have to print full format construction plans of a DHL site to establish a layout and offer for VRF A/C systems... meh...
(rather slap some tiles on a bathroom wall... ;))

anyhoo... have a good start into the week!
 
good morning all. thank you Stu for the coffee and great job on the remodel of the bath room. 66F on the dog walk with a clear sky and a large group of stars to view as I walked. no gym this morning as they are closed for the holiday. not much on the to do list except spray the trees to kill off insects and around the outside of the house as it's going to be scorpion session soon. the high should see 94F. enjoy the day

Nice job, on the bathroom project!

It's 50, going to 69 in MA today. It's starting out with sunny skies, but it'll cloud up an we're told to expect rain showers this afternoon.

Yesterday's track day went off without a hitch, although the wind and temperature forced me to layer up, again. I came home to Brenda prepairing some hamburgers and hotdogs, which is all I asked for after all of the dining out that we've been doing.

She also prepaired a pan of lasagna roll-ups, which we'll bring to Joe and Megan's during our visit to Elouise and the new one, Oliver. That will probably happen later in the day, since they still need to be released from the hospital.

There will be a smallish Memorial Day parade down Main Street, and we'll go out to see that
Celebrate all who served, an mourn those who didn't return.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the go juice Stu. Bathroom looks great.

Today being Memorial Day, my flag is hung on the front porch. Thanks to all who served, and to those who gave their lives in the defense of the nation. Your sacrifice is not forgotten.

It's 58°F in Rockville under mostly cloudy skies, but the clouds are high enough and thin enough to see hints of blue here and there. They'll dissipate as the day progresses, yielding a high around 73 under mostly sunny skies. That should make excellent conditions for the day's round of goof; I don't generally play on weekends or holidays, preferring to leave those time slots for those whose time is constrained by the need to make a living, but one of my frequent playing partners booked a time and invited me so what the heck. Since it's a holiday, my regular Monday old guys social golf league plays tomorrow instead of today.

Yesterday I ventured out for a short (12.5 mile) bicycle ride, the first I've taken since last November according to my log. It was enjoyable. reminding me that I really need to do more of that.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Can it be true?? The sun is actually shining in a blue sky this morning! 'Tis a beautiful thing. The temperatures will be pleasant enough today as well: 11°C/52°F right now, rising to 22°C/72°F. There's a risk of those pesky showers returning for a few hours this afternoon, but so far it's only a 40% chance.

Thoughts out to all veterans today, near and far, living and gone.

Good morning all, and thank you for the coffee Stu. Rainy downpours all weekend long, but I did pass the final motorcycle licence test here on Saturday. Fully "M" licenced now, and no more government interaction required. I just have to work on eliminating all of the bad habits the examiner found for me.

A sunny start to this day, 43/64 with a light WNW breeze.
I’m back to breaking rock today, I cannot prolong it, as I have enlisted a neighbours assistance today! Soon, we will start the framework for the top, tying the cribs together and hopefully get the decking sorted, if our lumber makes an appearance in a timely manor!

Good Morning, awake at 5 am, thanks Stu for Coffee and amazing Job in the bathroom. Thanks Dave for Funnies, much needed this morning. Last but most important thanks Vets, you are Remembered. Today's plan empty van so can make a trip to Sisters house Wednesday for another load of Mom's stuff, hopefully get that done before it starts raining. Also need to make a grocery run,all most out of Toilet paper and Dishwasher soap. Oh well, Y'all have a great day G
 
0740 I arose, not to one of the pining Princesses or the ever-hungry Prince of Purrsia, but to my own failing to turn off my alarm the night before. Well, considering I am currently elbows deep into a mower engine to replace the rings, I figured I can get it finished this morning then maybe some saxophone practice for our upcoming concert since the wife isn't around to complain of the noise of me strangling the cat [EDIT: not the actual cat].

So, thanks for the Joe, Stu! Thanks also to all the vets here for serving, and especially to those who gave their lives for our country.

Yesterday was, well, there. Watched the race, disappointed that one of my two favored drivers didn't make it and the other just couldn't compete. I think there was more action in pit lane than on the track. And the last third was dulled by everyone sticking to their fuel maps and pit strategy. *yawn* Alex Palou was the winner, congrats to him a well-deserved victory for the multiple IndyCar champ. Did the lawn quick during the weather delay before the start. So, I did get SOMETHING done. And cracked the engine open last night to see what I was in for.

Anyhow, not much else planned. Maybe some more cleaning or 3D printing, I won't commit to anything. Take care y'all!

Morning all! The sun is now shining after some rain this morning. 12C right now, a high of 16C later.

Awesome job Stu, looks amazing! I feel you re the pain. I was digging fence post holes and putting in posts/stretching fence wire yesterday through some dense bush (see attached) and I can barely move this morning.

Happy Memorial Day to our friends to the South and thank you to those who served and gave all.

Drove the car in to work today. That new tire cannot come fast enough. Though I will admit to some trepidation about having to remove, and later replace, the rear wheel. Never done it before so it will be a learning experience. Hopefully a positive one.....

<snort> OMG I just about shot my champagne out my nose when I read that.

Okay, lest you get the wrong impression: our neighbor absolutely adores champagne so that's what we're drinking on their back porch with our hot dogs and corn on the cob. It  is Memorial Day, after all...
