Shortly after 0500hrs that childish idiot was redlining this pile of crap down the alley, abruptly tearing the whole neighborhood out their well deserved sleep... :mad:
So I'm sitting here with my 2nd cup of Joe, mulling if I'd jam a raw potato down that empty end-pipe, or grab a can of 2-K-PU foam... :cautious:

Are those imbeciles actually convinced that females get ready to mate/copulate over that senseless noise... pfffff...
OTOH have jellyfish survived 650 million years despite not having any brains... :unsure:

GF is also peeved, calming her nerves with picking weeds in the garden... before its getting to hot outside... we'll have a brunch after that...

BTW some true signs that summer has arrived:
- its hot (obvious)
- mosquitos & other bugs bite (also obvious)
- all kinds of weeds grow and blossom (nature)
- munching fresh harvested, own grown strawberries
- the sound-stage of the 9th strategic lawn mover squadron hanging in the air
- ze GF is hopping around like Rumpelstiltskin waving a butterfly net to catch and massacre June bugs... :cool:

Like her mom and her mom before that she hates those and went fully Dexter yesterday... ;)
But nothing gets wasted: she arranges the bodies on a plate as crunchy midnight snack for the hedgehogs and pine martens (whoever shows up first...)

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's 52 and sunny, rising to 63 for today's high. The rain is gone, but it'll be windy as I return to the track for more racing.

Racing went off ok, yesterday, although the organizers didn't seem to be able to get out of their own way. There were some lags in the program that had bikes getting to the starter later than they should. As a result, they shortened races to keep everything on schedule, but we still finished at 6:00 rather than the 5:00pm schedule. The bikes were a mix of newish "classic" bikes to some from the 40's.
The rain made for an eventful day, with riders exceeding their capabilities, occasionally.

One race in particular sticks with me.
During this race, two bikes were in the lead, away from the pack. #1 had the lead for about 3 laps and was being harried by the #2 rider. I saw that #2 took the lead when they passed start/finish. The second bike was trying too hard to regain the lead, grabbed too much brake to enter the turn, and low-sided just before my flag station, and slid past the turn and into the overrun. The funny thing is that I was looking at the number on thier helmet, and I think that rider also low-sided into turn 1 at Loudon a few weeks ago.

Today, we'll be back again to a, hopefully, more organized event. We'll start at noon, and end at 7:00pm.
Brenda and I will segue over to our favorite Chinese restaurant, afterward.

Thanks for the start, Martin. I've never understood why anyone thinks a loud exhaust, be it car or automobile, is "cool". Certain makes / models of car (Honda Civic, Subaru something-or-other come specifically to mind) are popular with the local "tuners". Among other mods, like lowering the suspension, installing tires that look like they're not vertical, adding all manner of gee-gaw bodywork, decals, and the like, they often put on some sort of aftermarket exhaust that has a resonator chamber, then proceed to drive around the neighborhood making their Frankencar go "BLAT. BLAAAAAT. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAT." They paid good money to show everyone how stupid they are; I hope it brings them joy to go with excessive noise citations.

Not here. It's 48° in Rockville- downright cool, for the 1st of June. The high will be 72 under sunny skies- a beautiful day. We got more rain yesterday afternoon and evening, again sometimes at deluge intensity, so river kayaking is out as my boat isn't suited to those conditions. I could visit one of the local lakes, though, or maybe take a human-powered two wheeler out for some exercise. Goof won't be on the agenda; it's the weekend and I prefer to leave the courses open for those whose best opportunity for play is Saturdays and Sundays. That includes the inevitable guy-on-a-date or Dad-and-kid combinations, where at least one player in the group is utterly clueless.

Perhaps I'll exercise my new pressure washer attachment by cleaning the driveway, sidewalk, and back patio:

Many years ago, I had loud mufflers on a truck I built up. I was at a party & lent the truck to someone. When they returned, I was very disappointed with how it sounded. Haven’t had loud pipes on anything since!

My son is now living in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
I’m trying to get used to the time difference, they are 11 hours ahead of us!

Late check in, sorry y'all. It was 0602. My only free day. Princess #2 HAD to go. Stumbled downstairs to kick the dogs out. Fed the Prince or Purrrsia. Checked the temp, a shocking 43F/6C! Kicked the dogs back upstairs. Crawled back into bed for 3 & 1/2 more hours of bliss.

Finally awoke, I fed the princesses and grabbed the good stuff, thanks Martin! It had already jumped to 66F. Checked on a print and it had just broke loose from the bed maybe 2mm from the top, 17 hours of printing a tall round tube for holding my long sawzall blades. Doesn't affect function or form so it's a keeper.

Today I finished a mower re-ring with a new head gasket. Now to break it in, check it, and sell it. Finally get it gone. This week looks great for riding, finally a break from the ridiculous amount of rain in May. Over 8" when the average is 3.5"...a very soggy, squishy yet lush lawn.

Welp, time to see what else I can do...or dont. Maybe just quit while I'm ahead? Take care y'all!
