Helmets Nolan N-Com

Have the Nolan N-102 basic. ordered the basic communications kit and it did not work! I was not impressed with their set-up.love the helmet, sent the comm system back, and still looking at alternatives.

Im gonna try a Symax II very soon. Since I feel my Symax one was better than my Ncom 102 I am thinking the Symax II might be a better choice for someone looking into a modular helmet. Now with the Cardo Bluetooth (Scala Rider) modules on the market for less than half of what Nolan wants for the Ncom I see no reason at all to purchase a Nolan Modular helemt for user with an intercom or bluetooth cell adapter.

I prefer a flip up, and have had an N102 all summer. I pretty much ditto your entire review about the noise, weight after 2 hours, etc. First thing to come off was the tinted visor, it buzzes in the wind. Not enamoured with the latching or the fogging or the uncomfortable chin strap. I run with the clear visor open one or two notches to prevent fogging (in summer!).
I had a Symax 2 for a test ride, and much quieter, more comfortable shape, better visor system. I'm sure it's not perfect, but it's an easy choice for me once I had compared both in actual conditions. Ordered one from NewEnough, my normal XL was too small so I had to return it. Waiting for availability of XXL (order one size bigger than normal as HJC missed the mark on sizing).
Also, the previous HJC CL-Max is awful for noise.
