Coffee is made of beans...
Beans are veggies...
So I'd two pots of veggies today...

G'Day...

6°/16°C today, quite windy, haze overcast, the sun dimming through making it look like an image taken by one of those mars rovers...
Significant chances of rain...

The usual Nespresso/Nescafé mix in the belly keeping me functional... :coffee:

Yeah, having motorcycles seems like having kids... ;)

So last evening ze GF comes home, toddling into the kitchen, and opens with: "... your motorcycle smells..."
Right, suddenly that NT700VA is my motorcycle again...
After some interrogation to get at least an idea what this might be about, I gain the information about a hot, metallic scent...
Aimed with that knowledge and a flashlight I shambled into the sub-level garage to investigate...

Front brakes: sufficient pad thickness, free and no obvious issues...
Rear brake: still some pad thickness, free and no obvious issues...
Walk-around: no visible leaks whatsoever...
She vocalizes a hint: its emitting from the center of the bike...
Aha, so off with the seat...
Peeking around in there and indeed, that bloody 3-pin stator mains wiring connector looks like a burn victim... :o-o:
The thing is well protected by a black boot, no dirt, no grime, no traces of water ever gotten there...

OTOH I have to honor her procedure in this, other gals would have simply kept going till the poor vehicle pegs out somewhere in the middle of the road... ;)

Anyway, on the way home I'll stop at the shed to grab some connectors, cables and a few tools, then do some multi-meter readings and (hopefully) solving that in the evening...

keep your electrics sorted!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the coffee, Martin. Hope you get the 'lectrics sorted out.

It's a wet 64°F and cloudy in Rockville. The guessers told us this was likely to happen, as a front has stalled in our area and continues to moisten us. OTOH we really needed the moisture, and it (mostly) hasn't come down as frog-strangling deluges that do little more than clog the storm sewers before draining off, so it's been beneficial. Still, it'll be nice to see blue skies and Mr. Sun again sometime. Maybe this afternoon, and into the following days?

The only thing on my schedule for today is the usual Thursday afternoon uke group strumming session at a local musical instrument store. Mrs. Fun and her sister and niece will hang out today and do summat, I'm sure, but they don't typically get started until sometime after 10:00, so it's quiet in the house for a while.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Martin. 56F on the dog walk with a bright moon and just a few clouds. the stars kind of kept to themselves as not a lot came out. some owls called back and forth to each other. that was nice to hear as I walked.
not much on the to do list. with a high of 84F I just might find thigs to do inside this afternoon. enjoy the day

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.

It's raining in MA, today, with a current temperature of 60, rising to 73 as the rain tapers off this afternoon.

Yesterday's gym visit went well, and I moved on to my friend's restaurant to replace some outdoor lighting with the LED version.
Each of the four units gave me problems, for different reasons, but in the end, it all got done.

Today, we have an appointment to have the furnace cleaned, and I'll head over to the gym, again.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the veggie start, Martin.

It’s 71, with a slight breeze. High of 86. Teddy and I are headed to FerrySToc, shortly. After considering the weather, we’ve decided to take the truck instead of the sidecar. We did get in a nice ride yesterday to check out the new tire. He was eager to ride, as I’ve let the bike sit far too long.

Good Morning, mind hamsters have kept me up after a bathroom run,4:15 am still dark outside 9 C and cloudy, phone says rain this afternoon, and for the next five days, Uck. Plan for today go back to bed and hopefully sleep some more, later change to Summer windscreen on bike, oh yeah grocery run as well. Thanks Martin for coffee and Dave for Funnies. Ok Coffee will be after my morning nap, good day Y'all,G

As said, others might have kept quiet and going till it craps out... only with the intent to then have reasons to make a scene... ;)

...aaaand that's strike two. Martin, I'm sincerely asking you to revise your stereotypical portrayal of women. We are neither useless airheads who have no idea what we're doing, nor are we hysterical harpies that look for any opportunity to "make a scene." Just sayin'. ;)

Hot again today, 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms later. That's all I got. Have a good one, folks.

Patty

Martin, Thank you for the morning coffee from Vienna. I normally just sit at the corner table here and drink my cup(s) of morning coffee and read the comments on the coffee threads. Very rarely post anything as my life is not all that exciting of late. However today after my wife's Physical Therapy appointment I am headed to the Dealer to put eyes on my new Girlfriend that just arrived before closing last night. Most likely will be the last new bike I buy before my kids or life forces me to hang up the helmet (which ever comes first). By the way todays weather here in Colorful Colorado will be the usual sunny day with highs in the mid 60 and the possibility of a late afternoon shower.

Trust me, you normal ones are still a rare minority... in any aspects of life, job, household, traffic or otherwise...
Thus I don't give anything about "strikes"...

Good morning all!
Thank you for today’s start Martin.
I coasted through yesterday, achieved nothing other than restocking my beer fridge & attending my club meeting.
Another beautiful day here on the beautiful Bruce Peninsula.
59 F here at the moment with a high of 67 complete with an ESE breeze.
Enjoy your day!

Gotta say I'm with Patty on this one. Wherever I go, I meet great friendly girls of all ages. That includes neighbours on my street, servers in a cafe, or folks at church. Although my grandkids are absolutely the best, I find helpful and knowledgeable ladies everywhere. Further, if there's a lack of understanding or agreement somewhere, it usually means a difference in priorities, not a surplus of air between the ears! To quote an old girlfriend from bygone days, "be nice!"

And, yes there's coffee, and fabulous warm weather in my locale today! It'll continue, until it doesn't...

Methinks you (and possible others) are missing the point in this real life sarcasm... ;)

It ain't about being 'nice'...
Its about actually living in today's world in an utilitarian way and attitude...

When my GF 'sees' something, she simply grabs appropriate tools and goes for it... and I'd mentioned that positively on various occasions...
Just like I load the washer, dishwasher, grab the vacuum, run the stove, air-frier, etc...
I don't 'rely' on anyone, I can clean and feed myself quite well... just as she just goes and swaps the wheels on her car from winter to summer or vice versa...
She drives her own car, hence she checks inflation pressure and oil level herself... no fuss...
And when we work on something together, she actually gives a hand... instead of jamming her hands on her hips, voicing only nonconstructive complaints/commands/nags... ;)
(OK, she wouldn't go near the tire machine... understandable as she's not trained on that thing... but I'm pretty convinced I could show her... ;))

And I don't understand why this all is such a 'glowing piece of coal' either...
There enough dudes out there who can't do laundry, or burn da house down while boiling water... neither sex is perfect, so?... pfffff...

Morning Martin & All from sunny, with some clouds, in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 53F, up from 35F and heading for 67F. Although, we are heading north for the first of two graduations, so up there, it'll be 61F with some wet stuff.

We'll be back sometime Saturday.

I was able to do a little more on the AZ05 Project. I added the front cowl, using my old 2012's tupperware. I also added the rack.

Bob's AZ05 Project Progress

We got notified that my other granddaughter, that is graduating in two weeks, earned a $2,000 scholarship for some work she has done for their local Electric Co.

Kaylee

Boiled eggs, bacon, toast & OJ. Pepsi will be on the road today!

Anyone :bk13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
