Photo hosting site - need recommendation

What photo hosting sites do you guys use these days for posting photos on the forum? I used to use photobucket, then switched to Imgur.

Imgur was great for a long time. You could copy a direct link to a photo then post that link anywhere you wanted. What showed up from that link was your picture and that was it. What you get now with that copied link is a picture plus a ton of advertisements. It's very distracting.

For those who use free hosting sites, who do you use and are the links ad free?

I use Smugmug for about 5ish years - $79.99 annual cost. Its great. I use it constantly, must have 3000 photos stored..
Zero complaints, good service. No advertisements!
Free? The old saying..... you get what you pay for goes...

What is the need for a third party service?

Understanding everyone uses different technology, my phone will be obsolete before it’s full I think. It automatically backs up to the cloud @ $2.99 a month. The devices that are attached to the cloud all have access to the photos.

I have a camera for the bike when I upload to the computer that in turn puts everything in the cloud.
