Three Day loop thru Colorado

From Buena Vista to Taylor Park Res. is Cottonwood Pass. However the Taylor Res. side is dirt. Passable with a street bike ( ST1300) if you are a bit adventurous. This coming year CDOT is going to pave the complete pass. It is a beautiful ride.

Ahhh... Ok. I guess I thought it was the other one from Crested Bute, North and west #12 that was going to be paved.

You are thing of Kebler Pass. Still a nice dirt ride, (but not when wet) but I imagine it will get paved in a few years also. Progress, don't you know.

Ok...I want to do that one too but I didn't know the other one had a name, I just saw it on the map and it looked interesting and paved. I guess it isn't totally paved. Guanella Pass was paved recently as well.

I loved the Aspens in the fall over Indipenance pass and on 119, the smell and color us wonderful.

I really want to do Million Dollar HW, but not sure I can do that as a 1 day trip from COS. If anyone is interested let me know.

Yes, there and back can be done in one day. It is ~660 miles from COS, ~700 miles from DEN, with ~12 hours of moving time, and you'll have to be patient with the frequent tourist drivers that plug the roadways. Better yet, spend the night in Durango or Cortez and enjoy the sights.

I am going to try it when I know the weather over there will be predictable, anyone want to try it with me out of COS.

I am planning on going but I don't want to commit until a few weeks out.
