Good morning, sleepy heads! What, no coffee??! where is everybody??

No matter, Patricia has come to the rescue with a nice, big pot of Kicking Horse "Kick Ass" blend. Help yourselves! There are also bagels, cream cheese and other assorted toppings, and lots of fresh fruit to be had.

We have a mix of sun and clouds this morning with a chilly temp of 5°C/41°F, and the afternoon should be mainly sunny with a high of 16°C/61°F. Alas, the rain will be back, but not until this evening.
Remember the "violent wind event" I mentioned the other day? Well, it was a doozy all right, and even more violent than I realized. Turns out it left over 90,000 Quebecers without power and caused all kinds of damage! I should have clued in when I saw all those lawn chair cushions and various patio items strewn all over the common area! No power loss here, though, thankfully.

Welp, the day's tasks must begin in earnest, so I'll leave you to it. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

G'Day...

12°/26°C, blue skies, glaring sun... we actually have the a/c on in da house...

Two mugs Nespresso, home baked bread, etc...

Transferred the '94 ST to the shed, likely tinker on it over the weekend...
Then we drove to the GF's place, I installed the pressostat/controller on the irrigation pump, flooded the filter housing, pipes and pump body, primed the thing, runs flawless...
Total stumping: all joints/threads sealed at first attempt... normally I'm weary on Teflon string as sealant, but the plastic of the switch requires such...
But I won't use liquid-sealing-solvent as I fear that it'll make the plastic brittle...

Opened the cover of the roller shutter of her kitchen window; some wasps have left their uninhabited combs in there...
GF outside programming robo mover and watering computer...

enjoy your Labor Day!

Well, well, well. Thanks Patty for getting us started this Friday eve morn, I don't recall your Kicks being first available, but Lord knows there are so many things I don't recall, that I can't even remember them all.

Last night after dark I was unpleasantly taken by surprise while I was relaxing in the den, and heard Roz proclaim "It's raining."

Crap! I left the trailer uncovered and the top box open on the 1250! In a short couple of minutes, the carpet is soaked and miscellaneous stuff wet in the top box. I put the rain cover on the already-wet tank bag, closed the trailer lid with the hatch cover installed, and went back inside quite perturbed.

Not likely to dry the carpet today, as we have 60% rain chances. But the riding this week has been glorious, in the morning and home in the evening.

Ah, such is life, am I right? In every life, a little rain must fall.

"In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these."

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Patty.

It's 52 and sunny, on the way to 71 with more sun and clouds.

Yesterday, track day went well, and I rode the Wing to and fro.
Patty, you were dead on about the wind! Flags were straight out, when I used them, and the Wing got pushed around a bit on the road.

After the track, I went out and mowed, while Brenda cooked supper. I was almost done on the garden tractor when she called me in, and I finished with the push mower and string trimmer, afterward.

While I was out there, the neighbor's dog came to the back fence for some pets, and I promised her a walk, today. So that's what I'll do, once Freya wakes and leaves my lap, and my first gym visit of the week is over.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Thx Patricia!

In Oslo for a few days.
Seven hour drive yesterday….beautiful!
We’re staying at the guesthouse in a convent, pretty cool experience.

18˚c/64f, a really nice day.

It’s Mrs Stus’ 62nd birthday today, will celebrate it on her favourite restaurant with my son and gf, and my sister.

Have a good one!
Stu

Good morning all!
Thanks for the hot kicka$$ start Patty!

We’re partaking of the repositioning cruise on the Chi-Cheemaun ferry today.
It gives us a wonderful tour up the east shore of the Bruce Peninsula from her winter berth in Owen Sound, to her summer berth in Tobermory. Enroute we get to partake of culinary delights. Unfortunately we are to have high winds that may make it an interesting tour!
39/54 F cloudy with showers complete with thunderstorms.
The brisk east wind @ 12-30MPH should make for a wicked side roll for us!
Happy Birthday to Mrs. Stu too! ;)
Later!

A pleasant morning enjoyed briefly as I shuffled between the front door and my car, encouraged by caffeine. Thank you, Patti!

I've nothing to really plan out today. Work, then home stuff. I do have mulch and topsoil to spread in an attempt to get more grass to grow instead of dirt and weeds. We'll see. Take care y'all!

Good morning, So happens have Kick Ass in the coffee cup , thanks Patty. Today's agenda, Head South to RV trailer at Birch Bay, wasn't up to it yesterday. Doctors appointment yesterday went well, if I need Stomach surgery I'm good to go. Not sure if I want or need it, changing my diet and eating style seems to help, with my stomach restriction. If I go for surgery it will be after summer, plan to be riding this summer. Hopefully see my daughters and their family's in Edmonton Alberta. Well time to get packing for Birch Bay, Y'all have a good day,G

Morning all! Another absolutely gorgeous day; sunny and clear blue skies. It's getting harder and harder to not take the turn to head up island and head to work instead. Currently 8C, with a predicted high of 21C. I knew I should have put on the mesh jacket this morning.....

We had a great informal birthday party for my wife last night. Ordered in dinner, had cake, she loved her presents and cards, all in all a win win win. As they say, Happy Wife, Happy Life, but more so because seeing her happy, makes me happy as well.

Stu, you sure live in a purty part of the world. Happy birthday to the Missus!

Whiskers, I recall seeing the Chi-Cheemaun being built in the shipyard in Collingwood when we did a tour with the Cubs and Scouts. It was pretty impressive and I keep meaning to take it sometime when coming back to Ontario if I drive.

Hope everyone has a great day and remember...Be Happy....(you're welcome for the ear worm :) )!

Morning Patti & All from mostly cloudy skies in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 53F up from 39F and heading for 68F. We already have a breeze going, and later the winds will be out of the N@9 to 13mph. Weather Guessers are calling for rain. later this evening. We'll see if any of it gets to the ground. Yesterday, you could see rain all around us, yet we didn't get a drop! :cautious:

Happy Birthday Mrs. Stu! :hat3:

Yesterday I decide to go for it and put the AZ05 frame to the AZ 06 engine! The frame slipped over the engine pretty good, using the tractor to do the lifting. But trying to line up the mounting holes between the engine and the frame was quite the task! At one point I was about to give up for the day, but then I got a second wind and was able to line up the front mounts, then I was able to do the others. It took several hours to get them worked out, but I did it! :hat3:

I couldn't get the driveshaft in, so I'll see what I have to do today for that. and a few other things! One step at a time! :)

I got a call from Chris, I guess she is helping out a bunch of the other gals and has not been able to spend too much time on her own projects, but that's usually how it goes at these retreats for her. I think she enjoys helping the others out, as one of the reason for going.

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) on the list for later!

Anyone :wht13: , have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
