Water Cover O-Rings/seals

I just remanufactured my toasted under-carb insulator sheet, using this part number 1861T31 from McMaster-Carr:

High temp, oil resistant Buna 12 x 24" sheet, 1/32 thick. Looks just like the factory supplied material. I have an extra sheet that I can send out if you want it.

Not O rings, but related to this project--the rubber heat shield is pretty toasted too. Anyone cut a black silicone mat to shape? Perhaps more resilient than rubber, and generally heat resistant. The original piece is also unavailable.
Some people have made new mats from the below product. I have no idea how it worked out or it's durability.

Below is a link to a template with detailed dimensions to make the mat.

Looks like the template above shows a width of 13.75 inches if I'm reading it right, while this sheet is only 12 in. wide.

This picture shows the remnants of my carb mat overlaid on the 12 x 24 piece of Buna. A bit narrower at some point, as DeanR indicates. ST11 Carb Mat.jpg

Yeah, saw that was a little narrow. Ordered 2' of the cut to length 36" to make up the difference.

After a little research, standard silicone gets destroyed by gasoline, so even though the heat tolerance is better, it's a poor choice unless you go to nitrile, which is what the McMaster stuff is.
