WAX ASSY St1300 2004

Havent posted in ages but do follow along.

Quick question. Im about to pull TB off as I have a leak in the vee and want to see where its coming from.

(No the mat is not trapped in the covers).

I noticed the rubber cover on the top of my wax assy is half missing. Anyone ever replaced that or know where that rubber can be found.

Even something approximate.

Honda lists the wax assembly as a single part. Your best bet might be to find a used unit online and get the rubber seal from it. Given how much gunk can collect under the throttle body I'd want to have the moving parts covered.

I did look on Ebay but not a lot available. Anything in the US is just too expensive to get here.

There is one in the UK but on close inspection of the photo the rubber seems to be broken.

I feel some creative thinking coming on

I started by looking on McMaster-Carr for a gland or similar rubber shaft seal, but either it's not a component they stock, or I don't know how to describe properly for their inventory.

Thats a good Idea. We dont have McMAster over here but I am aware of it. Yes its just the rubber I need.
