What did you do with your ST1100/ST1300 today?

is the bike quip inner fender helpful in keeping the hollow middle of the ST cleaner?

That is the goal. While I have just installed it and have not ridden in the wet yet, It is basic physics that are in play, so I suspect it will do it's job.

It's probably not a big deal, but if you have the rear wheel off already, it is a quick install and I picked it up awhile back when ordering something else from the UK. Goes hand in hand with the front fender extender I installed to also help reduce spray on the undercarriage.

It does a great job of keeping the road grit from sand-blasting the rear shock, swing arm and surrounding area.

Installed switchback LEDs inside my mirror housings. Red for running lights, and switch to flowing amber when signal light engaged.

New VSS sensor installed.
Cleaned the turn indicator switch and lubed with Dielectric grease
Oil Change
Differential oil changed
2 new tires.

Ready for my 6,500-mile trip to Vancouver Island in 19 days!

Doing the pre-service wash, 12k mile trip starting next Monday night, lots of service to do before I go.


Rim cleaning for the Darkside swap.

I hope to be following willsmotorcycle’s tread prints up north.
I installed abs rings, new bearings and darkside tires.
These on to a spare set of non abs wheels.
I had to clean up the rear disc. That wheel was parked after heavy winter use then sat two years.

Installed new fork tubes, new tires, a new speedo cable (sleeving showed cracks) and a visual check-over...

Put the bike back on the maintenance charger. Most likely I'll not get any seat time on it for the remainder of the year. My pillion of 40 years (We met July 1983) has terminal cancer, and chemo induced dementia. We've reached the point where I cannot be gone more than a few moments at a time.
My wife was the best rear seat. We did 3,400 miles on a Honda 450 Nighthawk for our honeymoon. Never even got the chance to get her on the ST.

Intuitively the best two up rider I have ever had behind me. As a passenger in a car, she's just as good, calling out traffic from my right as I pull out of a driveway or intersection. "3 cars... 2... 1... Clear!" saying "Clear" as long as I was waiting for cars on the left to pass; or "Oncoming" if cars started showing up to my right again... I was sort of hoping we'd be able to do the same route we took on the 450 37 years ago, on the ST1300, this year. I'll do it alone next year, and drop some of her ashes off the Santa Monica pier whilst no one's looking. Her wish.
She told me today "Find someone that loves to ride, don't ride one up the rest of your life..."

So, off the charger, put on the gear, ride EXACTLY 1 mile to the store, load 1 bag of assorted & sundry items into a bag and load that into the right side pannier. And ride 1 mile back home. She's happily munching the ice cream sandwich she wanted...

The '00 passed MOT (annual tech inspection) with flying colors, and the (new) forks tubes are dry as the Mojave...

Not so much as what I did with my ST today but what I did for my ST today.
I’ve struggled moving my ST around out gravel driveway since we got her.
last weekend I built a concrete block pad for parking and this weekend I moved and compacted 2 yds of 3/8 minus crush to make a pad to back her onto to make the three-point turn to get facing the right direction.
