Just getting my garage queen ready for some trips in the near future. Replaced the secondary master cylinder, new brake pads front and rear, bleed complete brake and clutch system. Oil and filter, rear end oil.

Replaced fork seals and fluid, and lubed throttle cables with my new Motion Pro V3
luber, which I highly recommend.
Also installed a nice tank pad that I bought from a guy in Hungary who makes replicas of the Honda factory pads which are no longer available.
$115 CAD including shipping to Canada.
His name is Sandor Butor, and you can find him on FB.
Great vendor and nice product.
And finally, installed a fork brace.
Busy weekend, but very satisfying.

Nah! Technically everything in top notch...
observing my ST's literally leaping out their brake tester every time makes me grin; not used to firm, prompt stoppers they grab them way too heavy... uoops!
They complained about way other things:
- 1st attempted inspection: ... errr, sorry those amber signal lights have to come off...
so I took those off....
- 2nd attempted inspection: ... but that model year had no running lights, and the reflective "french rear" doesn't comply...
grrr... couldn't have told me that last time, couldn't you?!
pinned the 5 watt running lights out the front turn-signal connectors, cracked out the heat-gun to peel the red/day-glow chevrons off the rear...
- 3rd attempted inspection: ... the reflective foil on the sides doesn't have CE-mark ...
WHAT IN THE A... ??!!!
a) I'm running this bike in this livery since ten years without any issue ever
b) can't you guys cough up a list containing e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. right away instead of teasing people?!!

OK, back to the hangar, another gig with the heat-gun... the adhesive eraser wheel... and other things...
4th visit now was the charm, outta there in 10 minutes, with the sticker... bullocks...
So road assistance/support livery isn't much appreciated over here...
Possible intensified EC regulations or such... Orwell look down...
Maybe cause those with darn LED headlights might dazzle themself for a change, who knows...
Anyway, road legal again, non reflective day-glow set in the pipeline...

Nice ride, I’m a little jealous. I was looking for a used R1200RT of K1600GT in police livery. I don’t want idiots running into me though it’s not a 100% guarantee they still won’t.

Rode to mountains again. Punctured tire on rocky gravel. Didn't know, that ST1100 doesn't want to stay upright on a side stand with flattened rear tire. Kind of embarrassing to drop motorcycle even not sitting on it (

I have done nothing with the bike for the last 16 days as I have helped chaperoned 27 high schoolers across England and Scotland. One of our coach drivers shares our love for the Pan though. He has a 2003.

I have been ordering tires from chapmoto for the last few years. I ordered a set of Michelin Road 6s today at $500/set. It is depressing to see a $140/set increase in cost. I do have 15k on the current rubbers though and should be able to get a few more thousand out of them.

Ordered a clutch set for the '00 ST...
- >140,000km on it...
- engages within the very last 2~3mm of lever travel...
- while cold it tends to give a 1 second shriek with no advancing during slightly too eager take-offs...
(back to normal once warm though...)
paper gaskets, friction plates, springs, lock nut, crush-rings for the down-pipes, oil filter... € 350,- incl P&P...
Avoids being stranded somewhere in the Scottish Highlands...

Changed the fork oil. Planning to change the front tyre in the next few days in readiness for......

Road to Silverwood in Athol, Idaho Friday after work and came home yesterday. A little under 700mi and rolled over 130,00mi. Installed new Michelin R6 rubbers today front and rear after 16,546mi. Went out for a quick check and the front feels really heavy. I double check to make sure the direction of rotation arrows matched.

After 16k miles, maybe you've forgotten what a new tire weighs with all that unused rubber?

Ask me after Mai 30th (local Holiday), when I've done the job
(but as far as I remember from previous clutch replacement jobs will the lever clearance normalize with the thicker clutch stack)
With great sadness I have traded mine in today. Back and knee issues mean I no longer feel safe managing her, and she is faultless currently so really don't want to drop her. So I've down-sized to a far more manageable 2024 Vespa GTS300. It's been lovely being part of such a great online community.
No need to say goodby. I sold my ST two years ago and still visit this site. IMHO, this is the friendliest, most helpful online site around!

Alright, job done, engages around 1/2 travel again, shifting into neutral from 1st or 2nd while stationary also improved...
During such tasks I find that all the "use copper slip here" & "frequently replenish/protect with copper spray" OCD really pays off...
remove fairing, check...
removing crash-bar, check...
Removing heat-shields, check...
loosen exhaust clamp, check...
removing down-pipes, check...
not a single problem, all bolts well preserved and operational...
pretty straightforward job, that Oberon clutch receiver looked brand new, like just out the box...

Is the copper anti-seize similar (except chemically) to that evil, demon-possessed silver crap?
It makes removing fasteners much less stressful (is this rusted in place?), it simply gets on EVERYthing within 4 feet. I'm super careful about touching things, but when I go to collect all my tools to put them away, every single one has a smear of anti-seize somewhere on it!
