Wife having surgery on June 9

She had the operation yesterday morning. 8 inches of the Sigmoid colon were removed. It was partly Laparoscopic/robotic with a longer incision to pull out the defective section. She is recovering at the hospital for a few days. Last night she said she was feeling good with no pain... We'll see how long that lasts.

Good news, prayers sent, Al

Update: Yesterday the initial pain meds were finally out of her system. She was feeling a bit of pain but not too bad. Mostly headaches from lack of tea (she drinks tea regularly through the day normally though not a lot all at once). They did give her some tea and other lesser pain meds that took care of those pains. She has been getting up to stand and walk to the bathroom and down the hall a few yards. The nurses have to unhook her from the IV first though each time. Late last night she mentioned that the Dr says she MIGHT be able to come home today. It will take at least 6 months for her to be back to near normal. No reaching above her waist or lifting almost anything during that time. The usual stuff after abdominal surgery.
