Catching Odometer Numbers while Riding

My friend Tom Melnik, STOC 346, just turned 123,456 miles on his ST1100. Zeroing the tripmeter at 122,667 results in a cool display. I missed doing that a couple of years ago.

I took this photo on our recent holiday - actually taken on the east side of Mt St Helens. I had to do some donuts in the pullout to get the 10th's to line up to avoid haviing to stop in the middle of a 1 lane road and try to snap the picture.

I guess the next milestone for me will be 345678 910.1, but that won't happen until next year.

I tried yesterday, but didn't get stopped quick enough because there was a car behind me and I didn't want to be a hood ornament.

I hate when that happends! :(

I was close to getting some numbers (5s & 6s) yesterday myself, but time was against me! (I couldn't get my phone out before the clock turned on me)

It just means I have to put on 11k more miles this year!

By then I could probably catch the temp at 8 degrees!

Nice!

As I was riding home last night, my clock and odometer were in sync! 5:14pm & 161514 That lasted until I got off the freeway at about 5:21pm! :D

I will see 161616 on my way home tonight.

It's not a lot of miles but it is a lucky milestone!

Bob, you are sneaking back up on me. My riding has slacked off for a month or so. You are hot on my heels again! 163,5000 here.

Well Karen, quit slacking there and get riding! ;)

My son racked up 210 miles for two days of riding (I was on the '04) during his visit this last week! 162,263 is where it is sitting until Monday! ;)

Since I was off all week, I lost about 440 miles! :eek:4:
