Helmets New Shoei RF-1100

I'm wanting a really nice modular, like the Shark Evoline, but I hear it's heavy....like 5 lbs but balanced well....

I want a helmet that will be a good full face, but the jaw part when lifted up, I want it to be streamlined to act as a true 3/4, like the Evoline, but lightweight.......

Yes, I understand your desire. I kind of like the Nolan N43 because the chin bar has a lower profile and might give a more open access without removing the chin bar, like a flip up without the weight. From what I've read if you remove the chin bar you'll need to have the helmet off to align it during re-installations.

I'm considering ordering a N43 just to try it on, but have resisted so far.

My jaw hangs out of my RF1000 much more than it does in my Arai Quantum II.

Now that makes me wonder if the salesperson had me in a RF1100. I think I had 6 helmets on that day..

Pulled the trigger on two RF-1100. We have used RF-1000's for years, and they needed replacement. Tried the 1100 in the store (Competition Accessories) and felt extremely comfortable.

We have also been using Nolan N102's for a good while. Nice helmets, but I find it flimsy, shield and shield mechanism in particular.

You will be happy with the RF-1100 as it is one of the best helmets I have ever had. I love it!!! :D:D :clap2:

I had a RFR before and it's crazy how much quieter the RF1000's are. The 1100's must have stealth mode.

I was using an RF-R until a week ago, and just bought a set of RF-1000s for my wife and I (new, w/NightWing graphics - $299/each). I'm looking forward to a more quiet ride.

My new RF-1100 arrived yesterday (anthracite) and the fit and finish are typical Shoei, superb. I found that the sizing, for me anyway, was the same as the RF-1000, I take a size XL in both. I had to drop to a large when I bought my Multi-Tec, the XL for that lid is too big.

If I can lose this fershluginer cold, I hope to test the RF-1100 this weekend.

Let us know how they compare to the 1000 noise-wise.

+1

I love my RF1000. I want to hear from somebody about the noise reduction also with the RF1100.

Christmas is approaching quickly. Wife said new seat or helmet but not both.....
