Dave, are you running the Road 5 GTs? My RT came w/those. I don't think I've ever gotten 13k out of a rear tire on any bike other than the Anakee 3s on the VStrom 650.Friday ordered a pair of Michelin Roads for the RT. After 3 sets of the Road 5s I am very happy with their ride, handling, and grip in all weathers. I'm getting over 13,000 miles out of the rears and over 11,000 out of a front. That said I'm trying the Road 6 front on the next set. Last week Cycle Gear offered free mounting and balancing and presently Michelin has a $50 Visa gift card promotion on so I saved $100 on the set.

GT spec are recommended for my bike but when I bought it the R5s on it were non-GT spec with 4500 miles wear. I was amazed at the great condition of the tires given the lumpy scalloped wear I’d experienced with previous Pilot Road 2s & 3s. I wore the 5 tires out and when I bought replacements I stayed with non-GTs two more times. I’m a little wary Michelin designed the Road 6 rear with the center hard compound 2/3rd the width of the 5’s so I’m sticking with a 5 rear but I want to try the 6 front. They are using the 2CT+ construction in the front tire now. I’m convinced 2CT+ gives the soft compound outer edges the underlying support needed to prevent the lumpy wear pattern where the hard compound transitions to the soft compounds.Dave, are you running the Road 5 GTs? At least somebody has a REAL BMW!!!Fitted a set Avon Roadrider 11 on the R100RT and went for a quick spin......
The wife's 2014 F700GS has been having issues lately starting. I pulled the battery today and it is the original OEM battery with a 2013 date on it. I am impressed with its life.
I had an ‘81. Lots of good memories. At least somebody has a REAL BMW!!!
What year?
I have an '81.
Assuming that you meant that you have a PR4 on the rear? The PR5 is too wide for the rear and rubs on the swingarm so I now have a PR5 on the front and PR5 on the rear.

Mine is an '84. last of the dual shock and with brembo brakes and snowflake alloys. 140,000 miles and still really sweet and original. But not without it's inherent flaws.
Yes. Sorry about the mistypeAssuming that you meant that you have a PR4 on the rear?
I think I'll put them on the list to try on the next change.
