Catching Odometer Numbers while Riding

Would you believe I tried to stop to geta picture of my bike's odometer right at 150,000 and when I turned into a street where I could stop, it had changed to 150,001?:

So I added a few more miles until I saw 150,002 with the trip at 2.3, since when I bought the bike it was at 2.3 on the trip odometer.

Sure don't hace very good luck with some of these numbers! LOL

Still impressive Bob. Kudos for keeping it running and cared for! I'm pretty sure I'll be buying another 1300 sooner than later...;)

Thanks Khris! I sure hope so! I'm still keeping my eye out for a '04 for you!

Caught this one today....

Very good! Seeing the numbers go by is one thing, actually getting pictures of them is even better! :D

Yeah I try to grab a picture these days. I don't have a camera phone so I have to remember to take my camera out when I'm getting close.

I caught this one today. At the last moment I realized I could reset the trip meter and catch 2 digits at 1 there as well.

Nice! I wanted to catch all 6's during this weekend's trip but I missed resetting the trip odometer in time. Maybe in a couple months I'll get all 7's.

Think I can keep my rubber side down long enough to get all 2's? (again)

Naa, I don't think I can either, but its nice to have goals, right? Its only 67K miles away... 2 more years and I'll have it, right? (I should go order a new helmet now.)

Did you sacrifice your helmet (again) when you went down this last time?

I look forward to 121,212 with 121.2 trip but the next big one will be 123,456 with 78.9 on the trip. Resetting the trip a tenth or two tenths past 123,377 miles should do it.

Not a big deal as this only puts me at 34K over the past 14 months but I thought it looked cool.

I almost got all 5's but I was in traffic and it was 55,552 on my way home running errands. Then, with traffic got distracted and when I got home I was past it.. ugh.. oh well, it's fun to see what everyone comes up with.

Joe, welcome to the Ole Man's Club!:old1: Easliy distracted and you forget one second later what you were trying to remember all day! :eek:4:

Like Mellow, I missed the 55555 display, but I do have a mental note to reset the trip when I get to 56666 miles. 123.4 56789 would be good. Less than a thousand miles to go now. But I'm going to miss it. I know I'm going to miss it.

Just make sure you fill up BEFORE that reset... That was my issue, just reset the trip meter out of habit.. ugh.. then was so disgusted with myself I kept riding and forgot about the 55555... lol, in the end, I won anyway since I was riding.. LOL
