Catching Odometer Numbers while Riding

Darn it. I knew I was coming up on 125k, but looked down to see it rolling the 1 up into place while going down the highway.

That happens to me alot!: I'll see xx,999 on something and want to catch it when it turns over and the next thing I notice it was turning xx,025 Just can't seem to keep my mind from wondering other places... :eek:4:

The memory is the second thing to go.

I forget what's first.:p:

Well, I don't know about you guys, but I have a perfect memory, I can remember everything!

It's my recall that stinks! :eek:4:

I know it's up there someplace...:(

OK! I guess I'll start watching some #'s too then. That is if I can remember or don't forget.

20k on the 2010 I purchased in 2011.

I caught this on the way to the 2013 Blue Ridge Gathering and was up on the BRP when it happened.

Nice one! Good catch.

Great catch, Dave!! I had figured out when to reset the trip meter on my ST1100 to get that cool display (1234567890) but was over 100 miles past that point whenI realized I'd missed it. :( But with my luck, even if I'd reset it correctly I'd have probably missed catching the display when it ticked over.

Congrats on the mileage milestone.

Regards, John
